I am very proud to see more Fanshawe Paramedic Program students published this week. I collaborated with Rayne Crosetta, Presley Smith, Jenalyn Cundy-Jones and Lisa Henderson to write about the integration of IHI Open School courses into the curriculum at Fanshawe College.
These courses focus on key patient safety and quality improvement issues in healthcare. This is an important area of professional practice that remains poorly addressed in paramedic education. Hopefully our experience with this initiative will aid other programs looking to incorporate these courses into their curriculum.
