I’m Irish…and as you may know, we love to talk! Although, I’ve never actually kissed the Blarney Stone. I enjoy speaking to groups of healthcare professionals, students and members of the public about various aspects of education, practice, and research. I have previously spoken to groups of varying sizes, at venues all around the world, on a wide range of topics including:
- Competency development
- Higher education in paramedicine
- The future of paramedic practice
- Complex clinical practice
- Reflective practice
- Developing leadership
- Paramedic wellbeing
- Practice-informed education
- Patient advocacy
- Research capacity
- Career planning
- Simulation and debriefing
- Patient safety
- International EMS systems
I have published, presented and taught in relation to several areas such as complexities of practice, patient advocacy, provider well-being and safety, paramedic education, clinical ethics and ethical issues in practice, research capacity, open-access publication and more that I would be delighted to share my thoughts on. Some of my personal interests include camping, hiking, travelling, photography, genealogy and weather – just in case you have something slightly different in mind!
