​Fanshawe Paramedic Program student Emily Weston has co-authored an article which has been published in the latest issue of Canadian Paramedicine. Canadian Paramedicine is the leading voice of Canadian paramedics, and is read by paramedics worldwide. Emily joined Dr. Christine Tomkinson, a neurology resident physician in McMaster University, and I, to author an article outlining the recognition, assessment and management of concussion.
Emily becomes the sixth paramedic student published from Fanshawe’s programs in recent months.
A recent graduate from Fanshawe’s Paramedic programs, Kaitlynn James, was also published in the same issue. Kaitlynn was the lead author of an article discussing needlestick safety in paramedic practice, which she collaborated on Cian O’Brien, the HSE Emergency Management Officer for the South Region, and I.
