Conference season: Renfrew Research Symposium

Thanks to the County of Renfrew, Chelsea Lanos, Dave Libby and Chief Mike Nolan for a great few days discussing research, innovation and the future of our profession at the Renfrew Research and Innovation symposium in Calabogie.

McNally Project Scientist Dr. Charlene Vacon presented on issues around researching women in paramedicine, outlining assumptions, and highlighting areas that we need to consider. She gave a nod to Paige Mason for her work on women in leadership.

Thanks to Calabogie Brewing Company for sponsoring our research 101 stream which I co-hosted with McNally Senior Fellow Matthew Leyenaar. Over a few pints, we worked our way through the basics of paramedic research for attendees and had some great discussions. Finally, I participated in a panel discussion on research and innovation in paramedicine.
