I had the pleasure of recently presenting at the 5th International Congress on Tabletop Exercise and Communication in Disaster Medicine (aka TOPCOM V), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was hosted by Datuk Dr. Alwi Abdul Rahman and his team at Selayang University Hospital. Along with my colleague, Mr. Michael Christie, Director of the Resuscitation Group, we ran a 2 day intensive workshop which covered updates in critical care including topics such as neonatal resuscitation, research updates, ACLS science, tactical medicine, anaphylaxis and pharmacology.
The event was well attended by participants from all across the SE Asia region and further afield, including Borneo, Singapore, Japan, India and the USA. My thanks to Dr. Soo, Dr. Pak, Dr. Alwi and all involved in organizing this fantastic event.
