I’m just back from Minneapolis again after a great few days catching up with old friends and making new ones at the Fisdap EMS Research Summit. This year my group decided to look at CPAP application exposure among student paramedics, and in particular the geographical distribution of the therapy across the US. The variance among state level protocols has been interesting to observe!
This year two of my grads, and current Fanshawe College Paramedic Program faculty, Paige Mason and Will Johnston, both paramedics with Middlesex-London EMS in Ontario, and fellow research geeks joined me at the summit. They got to experience their first immersive research bootcamp – they tell me they enjoyed it anyway!
Once again thanks to JB Learning/Ascend Learning, Fisdap, HealthPartners and all who helped to put on a fantastic few days. Special shout out to Hayley, organiser extraordinaire!
I wrote about the Fisdap Summit last year in NAEMSE Educator Update – have a read of it below, and maybe I’ll see you there next year!
