Learning Design

I have prior experience (10+years) and certifications in learning design. I specialise in the creation of evidence-based education modules that are interactive and reflect best practice, and my background as a paramedic educator lets me bring a unique subject-matter expertise lens to the development of learning modules. I’ve personally created or led the creation of over 100 learning modules since 2014 for ambulance services, regulatory bodies, and commercial clients. Topics covered in these modules have included a range of clinical care, quality improvement, patient safety, professional practice, and palliative care modules.

In that time I have also completed additional professional development in inclusive learning design, and mobile e-learning. My experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) includes working with Moodle, Blackboard, Absorb, and D2L/Brightspace. I have led the migration of learning content between platforms, and I have instructed others in the use of these platforms.

For online module development, I work mainly with Articulate Storyline, but have some experience with Adobe Captivate. I also use Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP and MS Publisher in my learning design workflow.

A limited portfolio can be supplied upon request (NDAs prevent sharing of all modules).
